Labor Day Ain’t Just a Three-Day
Labor Day is supposed to be about workers.
Not CEOs collecting bonuses. Not politicians posing in hard hats they have never sweated in. And not another mattress sale.
It is about the people who get up when the alarm goes off—even when everything hurts and they would rather tell the world to kiss their ass.
It is about the factory worker, the truck driver, the teacher, the nurse, the farmer, the firefighter, the cashier, the construction worker, and every other stubborn bastard doing what needs done.
They build our towns, keep businesses running, care for our families, and make sure the rest of us have what we need. Most of them will never get rich or famous. Hell, half the time they barely get a thank-you.
But they show up anyway.
That is the real strength of America.
And when I look at my girls, I remember why we do it. We work, struggle, rebuild, and keep moving because somebody is watching us. Somebody is learning what strength, responsibility, and perseverance look like.
So today, enjoy the cookout. Drink a cold one. Rest those tired bones.
But take a minute to recognize the people whose hard work keeps this country standing.

Thank you. You matter. And this country doesn’t run without you.
